louma uk is the UK agent for the world renowned Louma Crane. Alongside our partners [loumasystems] in Paris, we are constantly involved in the development and manufacture of remote camera cranes and heads.
1970s Lavalou / Masseron create the Louma in Paris in conjunction with David Samuelson in London
1980 Adam Samuelson becomes the UK Louma Technician and then creates Louma UK in 1983

The history of the Louma goes back as far as the early 1970's with Jean-Marie Lavalou and Alain Masseron developing an idea they had whilst making a film inside a submarine. Several years and nearly as many prototypes gave the film industries around the world not only the Louma but also the concept of the remote controlled camera crane.
The Louma has regularly been kept up to date with a succession of improvements to all aspects of the system. As part of this process, Adam Samuelson has contributed to many of these updates through his many years of experience as a Louma Crane technician. (Sometimes also known as Loumatech or more likely lunatic !)
Having taken the Louma to over thirty countries around the world during his time as a technician, Adam (and Louma UK) has gained a vast knowledge that is invaluable in dealing with the film productions of the future. Locations accessible only by helicopter, roof tops, train stations, on boats, tracking cars etc.. - we have the experience to help productions get the maximum from their shooting schedule.
We have been actively involved with the creation of the telescopic Louma and are now the only facility house from where the Louma 2 can be rented.
